Motion Racing was founded by Ryan Williams with the purpose to elevate racing programmes utilising his near decade of experience with one of the most renowned OEMs in world motorsport.

When a path to pursuing a career behind the wheel became unclear, Ryan turned his attention to the engineering side of the sport at a young age, which ultimately led to him earning a Bachelors degree with honours in Automotive Engineering with Motorsport at the University of Hertfordshire (UK).

Post graduation Ryan would join McLaren GT, at the time responsible for the McLaren 650S GT3 and 570S GT4 projects, before moving across to McLaren Automotive with the new 720S GT3 and Artura GT4 platforms. In these roles he would provide Engineering and Aftersales support to championship-winning efforts in the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, GT World Challenge Europe & GT4 series in Europe and America.

Having accrued a number of race wins (and even more air miles), Ryan decided to venture into a new endeavour for 2025, starting Motion Racing to provide a comprehensive suite of engineering services to race teams across the motorsport spectrum.
